I have been confined to a Powerchair for over 15 years. Each new chair purchase was a nightmare until I discovered Independence in Motion. The process was flawless. I received my new chair within 3 weeks. It was perfect. This company worked with the manufacturer to see every detail was addressed. About 2 months later there was a problem with the seat cushion. This company has worked with the manufacturer to resolve the problem. They kept me informed and never stopped until the issue was resolved. I have never worked with a company who was so dedicated to seeing that the customer was completely satisfied. I would rate them 10 stars if there was such a rating.

I discovered Independence in Motion after having much difficulty in finding a comfortable wheelchair for my mother. She had used and rejected 4 or 5 chairs and numerous cushions before I contacted Cynthia at Independence in Motion. Cynthia’s considerate approach combined her nurse’s knowledge with unhurried time that she spent listening to my mother’s needs.

It was not easy but with her help we finally succeeded in getting a wheelchair and cushion my mother’s found comfortable. Despite the quarantine Cynthia was able to deliver the chair to my mother on her 94th birthday, topped with a big pink bow. It was a pleasure working with her and I will always be grateful for her patience and kindness during this very difficult time in my mother’s life.

We’re only at the beginning of the process of getting a motorized wheelchair for my father, but I’m already so pleased with the customer service of Independence In Motion that I couldn’t wait to rave about them. We started out trying to work with another medical supply company recommended by his doctor. Those people don’t answer their phone, don’t call back, and are impossible to work with. When trying to get a lift chair for my father, we gave up on that company and bought one on Amazon. THREE WEEKS LATER is when they finally returned our call about the lift chair. Our attempts to get him a wheelchair were heading down the same path – unanswered calls, put on hold for eternity, no return calls – so I looked for an alternative and found Independence In Motion. My goodness, they actually answer their phone! And a friendly, helpful person is there to answer questions when you call! We called at the end of the day on Friday, and Tuesday afternoon someone was at his apartment to help determine what he needs. It’s such a relief to feel that Dad’s in good hands with Independence In Motion.

I have bought 3 different lift chairs from a store that offered a guarantee on the chairs. Each time it has taken forever to get the chair repaired. I found out 7 days before a hip operation that my lift chair will not be repaired in time for my operation. I went over to this Mobility store and found a great lift chair. It has a guarantee on parts for 7 years. I went to the store on Tuesday and my new chair was delivered on Thursday. They came when they said they would and made sure everything was working properly. Wish I had bought my first lift chair from this store.

Great scooter store! They have many models to try out in the showroom. I was helping my friend’s dad out who wanted it that day and they delivered it after 5, which he really appreciated since he wanted it for his vacation in Disney. We should not have waited until the last minute, but they were happy to help us. Nice people. Not a hard sell, they are there more to provide information. I highly recommend the store.

I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know what an asset and amazing support Cynthia has been for our family. When the wheelchair was denied by insurance, she was extremely empathetic and went above and beyond to give me guidance on the steps we needed to take to fight what could have been a very detrimental situation. Because of her persistence and knowledge in this area, we were able to appeal the decision and get it overturned with the insurance company.

This may be a long review but I felt the details are needed to understand the full extent that Cynthia, Jim and Sean went to help us. My husband has been in a power wheelchair for over 20 years due to paralysis. 3 months shy of his 5 years with that chair the motors blew up and the national wheelchair company we had been working with was of no help. We started calling around to rent a wheelchair until we could work out the details with the insurance companies.

This is when the team at Independence in Motion made a very difficult situation much easier for us. I couldn’t believe how easy and pleasant it was to work this them. They went the extra extra mile even though we had to wait those extra 3 months to get the new chair they gave us the loaner chair and the detail that was put into his new chair was more than astonishing!! We didn’t have to chase anyone down to find out the status of the chair, They called us every week to Once everything went through with insurance, the chair was here in 2 weeks and they came to our home to fit my husband !!!! OUTSTANDING!! They made sure his was fitted perfectly and got him everything he needed without even having to ask!!!!!! They are extremely knowledgeable and their caring, customer service and professionalism surpasses the rest by far!!! We are more than grateful to have found this team and wont use anyone else!!! I took my 91 year old mom into the shop last week. Sean was patient and knowledgeable and made the process stress free. Her needs were addressed and the recommendations were perfect for her. Her chair arrived the next day and she is thrilled with it. Due to heart in failure, she has to sleep on an incline abs not flat. It was one of the best service experiences I’ve ever had. The nurse, Cynthia, got to know everything about me and made sure that I got the power wheelchair that was best for me and my needs. She provided options that I never knew existed. When it was delivered, the technician spent careful time making sure everything was perfect and that I knew how to use and care for the chair. They care about people, not about money.
